To the voters of Idaho,
I am proud to endorse Jim Vandermaas’ candidacy for the US Senate. Jim has lived a life of proven public service, retired from law enforcement, Search & Rescue, union negotiator, mentoring to at risk youth thru a Police Activities league he help start, and more. He believes the rule of law applies to all, and fully supports the US Constitution.
Jim Vandermaas will work for all Idahoans rather than the few. I know he will work to protect our climate & environment, to make education and healthcare affordable for everyone. It is time we elected someone with fresh, innovative ideas for solving the issues facing our state and our citizens, and who is willing & able to work with anyone to get the job done.
Let’s not settle for business as usual, let’s work to put Jim to work for us in the US Senate!

What Idaho and the country desperately needs is an Idaho senator who is principled, not dogmatic. A senator who is pragmatically progressive not irrationally conservative,. A senator who is a public servant not a servant of lobbies. A senator who is a seeker of solutions not a builder of roadblocks.

Jim Vandermaas is such a person, the one who we are looking for and just who Idaho needs. Jim isn’t a professional politician. His life experiences show that he is an innovative thinker whose thoughtful analysis of problems and issues are based on verifiable data as he seeks pragmatic solutions.

Join me in supporting Jim for U.S. Senator.

Speaking only for myself, I endorse Jim Vandermaas to be the next US Senator for the great state of Idaho. Integrity, policy-focus, and respectful leadership are crucial Idahoan values we should expect from our elected officials. I also value how a candidate treats volunteers and staff. I must, therefore, back Jim Vandermaas.

If your fellow legislators respect you, holding a previous legislative seat can be beneficial. But the late great Frank Church shows us it is not a requirement. He never held public office before defeating my great-granduncle, former Sen. Glenn Taylor, in the US Senate primaries. Sen. Church went on to be one of our country’s greatest statesmen.

I cannot predict that Jim Vandermaas is the next Frank Church or Cecil Andrus. But he is the only one in the field for the 2020 US Senate seat that still has the potential to follow in their footsteps.

I am pleased to endorse Jim Vandermaas for US senate. Jim has all the qualities required for the position. I have had the privilege of meeting and speaking with him on numerous occasions. He is intelligent, disciplined, honest, hard working, and even tempered. Everything you would expect and desire of someone in a high position of trust.

Jim's priorities are in the right place. His service is to the people of Idaho, and Idaho itself. Jim will not serve demagogues, corporations, special interest, or his own personal interest. This is in sharp contrast to what is currently simply occupying a senate seat and chair for Idaho right now.

Jim has an excellent understanding of the law. He fully understands that the rule of law by representation is one of the most precious things in human history. Jim will decide things the way a senator should, after long deliberation and in accordance with rule of law, not by knee jerk predetermined partisan expectations. I have no doubt that Jim will question any leadership if need be, in the interest of the people and state he serves.

Jim is not an empty suit, or a rock star. We already have the former, we don't need the latter. Jim has spent his life as a servant of the law and his community, and that's what we need now more than anything.

I give Jim Vandermaas the highest endorsement I can, not only do I want him to be my US senator, I want him to be my children's US senator.

Dear Idaho Voter,

I am excited to endorse Jim Vandermaas as a Candidate for US Senate. Jim has committed most of his life to public service and the Community, working as a fireman/paramedic, in the Law Enforcement field, and Search and Rescue. James has worked closely with the Latino Community, both in his Police Activities League and a Latino Scholarship Foundation. In the Senate you need to have the ability to make friend across the aisle, but also be a tough negotiator. In business, when on the SWAT team, and as a Union Negotiator, he has proven tremendous ability to be both firm, yet willing to find solutions, which is needed for such a position.

Idaho needs someone that will not take a NO for an answer. Idaho needs a Politician that has the persistence and dedication to fight for what is right for Idahoans. It’s has been too long that Idahoans cannot compete with the rest of the States, and Jim Vandermaas will give us out long lost voice! Senator Risch will give us the same representation he has given so far, which is none and will take us nowhere.

I see a new beginning with Jim. New representation with real results, and I know that we can count on Jim Vandermaas for the changes that Idaho so desperately needs.

To all the voters of Idaho,

I am suspending my campaign for US Senate and wholeheartedly endorsing Jim Vandermaas to become Idaho’s next US Senator. I will instead run to represent Bingham County in the Idaho State House of Representatives District 31, Seat B.

I have been impressed by Jim Vandermaas’ thoughtful analysis of the challenges facing Idaho and our great country, and his knack for innovative solutions that focus on everyone’s concerns, not party.

Jim Vandermaas has the acumen, experience, and temperament needed to work across party lines, bring Idaho together and strengthen Idaho’s, and our nation’s economy and middle class.

I endorse Jim Vandermaas and hope that the voters of Idaho will choose him as our next US Senator.

Sincerely,

As a small business owner that is losing sleep over how long I can keep my doors open and my employees paid...I am angry and frustrated that the "big guys" are able to push through the process for a loan so much faster than us "Mom and Pop's".

What happens to my family when I shut the doors, possibly forever? My daughter is sweating if she can still go to college and pursue her life's passion. I gotta lotta fight in me, but how long do I take these shots to the ribs before I throw in the towel?

Thank you for fighting the good fight, Jim Vandermaas!
