ALERT: Idaho’s May 19th primary election is now an ‘All-Absentee Ballot’ – no ‘in-person’ voting! 

You can apply up to voting day, and deadline to return Absentee Ballot is June 2nd, 2020 (see below).

As it stands now – you must request an Absentee Ballot to be able to vote!

Please note, if you plan to vote using an absentee ballot in the 2020 PRIMARY held on 05/19/2020, your completed application must be received in the county office by 8:00 PM on 05/19/2020. The deadline to return your voted absentee ballot is 8:00 PM on 06/02/2020.


  • Check to make sure you are still registered – You must be registered to Absentee Vote
  • You must have an Idaho Driver’s License or Identification Card and Last 4 digits of Social Security Number to complete the Online Absentee Ballot Request.
  • If you do not have one of these ID numbers, you will need to download a paper application and mail it to your County Board of Elections. Otherwise, you may visit your local county elections office.

Reminder: In spite of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Governor Little denied the Idaho Secretary of State’s request to postpone the May 19th Primary, but did decide that the May 19th Primary will now be ‘All Absentee Voting’.  

So request, complete, and return your Absentee Ballot ASAP, to ensuring that your voice is heard!
